About You

LittleThings is looking for a finance and accounting leader with at least 10 years of progressively responsible financial leadership roles in digital media and television production. Reporting to the President & COO, you will be responsible for the complete and accurate accounting and financial activities of the company. You will work closely with our executives and team leaders to achieve organizational and departmental financial goals. You will also be the primary financial point of contact for current and potential outside investors and the board of directors.

Your team will consist of the VP of Finance, the Senior Staff Accountant, the Office Manager and Coordinator, the HR Director, and the Senior Talent Acquisition Manager. You will also be the primary point of contact for outside counsel and accountants.  

The position is a broad, all-encompassing financial and business-management role that will include (but not be limited to) the following responsibilities:



  • Manage financial reporting and operational metrics for the company, including budgeting, forecasting, board reporting, cash management, banking, tax, and audit
  • Evolve management of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, chart of accounts, accounting filing system, accounting controls, payroll, and PEO operations
  • Direct the implementation of strategic business and/or operational plans, projects, programs, and systems
  • Oversee the operations of the accounting and operations departments, and manage the growth and development of the teams
  • Act as key contact/liaison between company and external legal counsel
  • Act as key contact/liaison between company and accountants to prepare audit, corporate tax returns, and in the future, production tax credits audit/submissions



  • 10+ years of progressively responsible financial leadership roles in digital media and television production
  • Strong background in venture banking, due diligence, and M&A activities
  • BS in accounting or finance, though MBA is highly desirable
  • Strong technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, strong operational focus, and a creative thinker
  • Expertise in Excel, QuickBooks, and SalesForce, along with knowledge of financial and accounting reporting systems
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution, and advanced modeling of financial statements and cash-flow requirements
  • An understanding of GAAP regulations specific to the media industry, including the revenue-recognition process, as well as federal and state financial regulations
  • High level of integrity and dependability, with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation
  • Ability to drive cross-functional consensus and collaboration
  • Strong knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management
  • Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, high-growth, and collaborative environment through outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
